Il presente articolo costituisce un contributo alla questione della creazione, traduzione e ricezione del genere fumetto in quel vasto ed eterogeneo mondo dei “paesi di lingue slave”. Focalizza il caso Alan Ford, un singolare caso di successo di un fumetto italiano, in traduzione croata, diffuso, letto e amato in diversi paesi della ex Jugoslavia dove ha raggiunto uno status di culto protrattosi anche dopo il declino del paese: il conoscere e l’amare Alan Ford in variante tradotta continua a formare un legame linguistico-culturale.
